Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Time entries to FreshBooks invoices add-on (“the Add-on”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you install and use it within Clockify.

Who we are

Information we process

The Add-on processes the following data solely to provide its functionality:

• Clockify workspace data — your workspace id, clients, projects, time entries, and invoices, accessed through Clockify’s API using the permissions you grant at install time (read access to time entries, projects, clients, workspace and invoices; write access to invoice status).
• FreshBooks account data — your FreshBooks businesses, clients, and invoices, accessed via the FreshBooks API after you authorize the connection with OAuth.
• FreshBooks OAuth tokens — access and refresh tokens needed to keep your connection active. These are stored encrypted at rest on our server and are never shared.
• Invoice history — records of invoices created or imported through the Add-on (amounts, currency, status, and links to the corresponding Clockify and FreshBooks invoices), used to show your history and sync payment status.

We do not collect or store your Clockify or FreshBooks passwords. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

How we use the information

Data is used only to operate the Add-on’s features: connecting your accounts, mapping clients, generating and importing invoices, and displaying history and payment status. We do not use your data for any other purpose.

Data sharing

We share data only with the services required to deliver the Add-on:

• Clockify (CAKE.com) — to read your workspace data and update invoice status.
• FreshBooks — to read account data and create draft invoices.

We do not share your data with any other third parties except where required by law.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your connection and history data for as long as the Add-on is installed. When you uninstall the Add-on, the associated workspace record, account connection, mappings, project rates, and invoice history are deleted. You may also disconnect FreshBooks at any time from the Add-on’s settings, which removes the stored OAuth tokens.

Security

OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest, all data is transmitted over HTTPS, and requests from Clockify are verified using signed tokens.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
